We Moved!

Moving could have been better, could have been worse. We did manage (with lots of help of friends who love us) to successfully get moved. Unfortunately, we now have two cars that don't work, one of which is stranded in another state! Luckily, we've got a trustworthy, reasonable mechanic in the works in the other state but we don't know what's wrong with the car yet. As for the broke-down car in town, keep your fingers crossed that it is just a battery problem!

I took my first (and easiest) final this morning. I'd like to say I'm soooooo happy that I only live about 5 blocks from school, that it is not cold anymore, and that I did well on the test! One more final today, two more tomorrow, then finishing off a research paper and then DONE! At least until Fall.

I think Crimson is going to LOVE the new apartment. There is a ton of kids here her age and they spend all day outside playing. The play area is right underneath my window, so I'll probably even let her out there without me! She'll be happy about that. I baby her a little too much sometimes.

The playground being so close is a little rough on Rejeanne though. She just sits at the window yelling at all the kids and wanting to go play. I took her out there for a couple hours yesterday and that seemed to make her feel better. I think she's going to get a lot more time outdoors (which means less is getting done inside the house, but oh well!)

I'll try to get some pics up of the new place once we get a little more settled in and school is over. I'll be glad to see the end of this week!

In the meantime, I'll give a little teaser. My apartment has 1970's tangerine countertops...a color only know to exist in modern times in very well preserved tupperware.

Rejie Meets Her Shadow

Yesterday, Rejeanne discovered her shadow. She started out chasing little, fat robins, but we quickly noticed she wasn't heading towards the birds anymore. Rejie was chasing her shadow!! She eventually stopped and yelled at it. Then she stomped on it. Then she tried to shake it off of her feet. Then she bent over and tried to pick it up! Alas, none of these worked, but it was fun to watch her try. She did discover that the shadow would copy her arm movements, so I think she is at piece with her new lifelong companion!

Spring Fever?

Rejeanne rang in Spring with a Spring Fever. There didn't seem to be anything wrong with her, just the fever. It eventually got up to 104, so we went to the ER. The ER in Vermillion is pretty cool. There's no wait. So, after waiting for Rejeanne to pee for about an hour, the bag leaked and the nurse got a whoppin' ONE DROP of urine. We're pretty sure it is a bladder infection in any case. She's got antibiotics yet again and seems to be finally perking up today. Poor Lee though! Since Rejeanne is the Super Duper Daddy's Girl, if I get anywhere near her when she is sick she just screams and cries for Lee. So, Lee and Rejeanne haven't gotten more than 4 hours of sleep a day for the last two days. Now that she is perking up, she ran and gave me a kiss this morning and took a nap for me finally. Lee and Rejie are both napping now. I love them both so much. I'm really glad that we live at a time when there is antibiotics! It would be really terrifying to see if my baby could fight off something like that alone without them. It's so easy to take modern medicine for granted.

In any case, I think she is on the mend :)

Well, I've decided to send people a blog link so I don't have to mess with Photobucket anymore. Especially since my mom can't seem to get photobucket to happen on her computer. I figure everyone should be able to see a blog. So, if you are looking to read about what my kids are doing on a daily basis, you have come to the right spot.

Crimson is playing softball this year instead of baseball. She's having fun but really wants to win a game! We miss her tons! She'll be out here in early April for her Spring Break. I'm hoping it doesn't snow but I think Crimson is hoping that it does!
